Kennel Club Accredited Instructor (Working Gundogs ^ADVANCED)

v    Anthea has been instructing in gundog work since 1983, qualified as a gundog training instructor in 2005 and gained advanced accreditation in 2009.

v    She instructs groups on a weekly basis and also offers one-to-one instruction.

v    She is an instructor for Midland Golden Retriever club and arranges classes each summer at all levels: puppy, beginners, novice and open/Field Trial groups for all varieties of gundog. (All breeds in the retriever group, HPR’s and Spaniels)

v    She owns 4 working bred Golden retrievers at present  (ranging from15yrs to 2 years) and works 3 of these dogs on shoots, picking-up, throughout the winter season on pheasant, partridge and duck.

v    She competes in Gundog working tests and has awards at all levels from puppy through to Open, gaining many first places at each level. She competed in Field Trials for several years and, although keeping up to date with FT’s, no longer competes.

v    She judges gundog working tests for the retriever group at all levels from Puppy to Open

v    She is qualified as an assessor for the KC Working Gundog Certificate and also mentors and assesses other instructors.

v    She arranges one day and weekend courses in the UK and has also put on courses in Switzerland, Germany, Scotland and Sweden.

v    She has written 4 books on gundog training: ‘Respect and Leadership in Dog Training’ Trafford 2005; ‘Taking Control’ Trafford 2006; ‘Further Control’ Trafford 2007; ‘Training the Working Retriever’ Quiller 2009
